The Meizu 20 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, Meizu officially revealed a few weeks ago, and we were able to confirm this with the help of Geekbench 5 and AnTuTu results.

o ReNow that the Pro and the standard Meizu 20—both of which used the 8 Gen 2 chip, code-named "Kalama,"—have shown up in the score database for the new Geekbench 6 test.

The single-core and multi-core tests for the two models were essentially identical, and they both had 12GB of RAM. Note that instead of using model numbers like "m2391," the phones were identified this time using their true names.

Nonetheless, the Meizu 20 and 20 Pro will perform equally well, with the Pro differing in some respects. It's a good idea to have a backup plan in case the backup plan fails. The 5,000mAh battery will allow 50W wireless charging, and the primary camera will include a 50MP sensor (1/1.56" with OIS).

The vanilla Meizu 20 has just received a few details, but it appears that it will be a kind of gaming phone with a 144Hz 10-bit display. Other discrepancies ought to exist as well, but we'll have to wait.

As part of the close cooperation between the smartphone manufacturer and its parent firm, which focuses on electric vehicles, the Meizu 20 Pro will support the CCC 3.0 digital key standard for automobiles. We're unsure if the vanilla model will provide the same features.

Meizu hasn't yet specified a timetable for its comeback to the smartphone market, but given that it is already accepting blind pre-orders (it has over 300,000, though that doesn't mean much because it charges just 1 yuan), it will definitely happen before the end of the month.
