The phone's Snapdragon 8/8+ Gen 1 processor, the Qualcomm SM8450 (codenamed Taro), will be used, although the CPU is underclocked, suggesting a different platform.

The most likely solution is a chip with the same name that is underclocked, with the primary Cortex-X2 processing core running at 2.92GHz and the three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.5GHz.

That won't be the first time that Qualcomm offers a chipset that isn't operating at its highest speed. For instance, the Oppo Reno9 Pro+ utilises a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with a prime core that is a little slower than average, but the rest of its specifications are in line with industry standards.

The 6.74" AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate from the GT Neo 5 is anticipated to be used by the future phone (sold overseas as Realme GT3).
