The Chinese company's latest flagship product, the OnePlus 11, was introduced back in January.
It turns out that its successor is already in development and will, naturally, be dubbed the OnePlus 12.

The OnePlus 12 will be unveiled in China in December, according to a fresh report from a typically trustworthy source. The qualifier "in China" is crucial because the global release can take place a few weeks (or months) later.

Currently in engineering sample form, the phone has a 6.7-inch QHD OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 100W rapid wired charging, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.

Three rear cameras on the OnePlus 12—a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 64 MP periscope zoom camera—would be a first for the brand, though not necessarily for parent company Oppo.

Aside from that, it doesn't initially appear like there have been many noteworthy hardware improvements – the screen is the same size as its predecessor's, has the same resolution and refresh rate, and the use of the next-gen processor is quite standard.

Remember that since the debut of this phone is still seven months away, we're still relatively early in the development cycle.
