The Audi A5 Sportback Vorsprung 45 TFSI quattro S tronic for 2022 is nearly flawless. It looks excellent and drives well even in its most basic form. The interior is beautiful, technologically advanced, ergonomically designed, and, for the most part, really comfortable. The available 12.3-inch driver information display, as well as the infotainment system, are both very appealing. Because of the quattro all-wheel-drive technology, the curb weight starts at a hefty 3,725 pounds. The turbo Audi A5 is powered by a single engine, although it now comes in two tuning options. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque as standard, with a more powerful version producing 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
These abilities are further enhanced if you opt for the available sport rear differential in the top Prestige trim, but the A5 is sharp and comfortable enough to be left alone, much like the adaptive suspension setup that is also available. The chassis is unfazed by big or small bumps, and the overall experience is calm yet enjoyable, giving you the confidence to drive aggressively. The brakes are also excellent, being simple to modulate and dependable.
The Audi A5 four-door interior is no exception to the rule that Audi interiors are still stunning places to sit. The layout and design are similar to that of the Audi A4, and the car still seats five people, but the sloping roofline means that adults will have less headroom in the back.
Each front passenger sits in an eight-way power-adjustable leather-wrapped seat that comes in a variety of colors. While the A5 Sportback has less rear passenger space than the A4, the cargo space more than compensates.
There's enough space for all occupants to comfortably bring weekend luggage along, but if you need more, the rear seats can be folded in a 40/20/40 split. Each door in the cabin has decent pockets, and there are cupholders, a glovebox, storage in the centre armrest, and a spot ahead of the gear-lever so you don't have to travel with your pockets full.
