The Audi RS5 RS 5 Carbon Black TFSI quattro tiptronic's extra power and track-focused hardware come at a much higher price, allowing it to compete with hi-po rivals. Its interior features excellent outward visibility and ample passenger space, as well as an undeniable sense of luxury thanks to the rich materials and massaging front seats.
Some may find the 2022 RS5 coupe to be too comfortable and quiet. The new RS Design package adds floor mats with the RS logo, faux suede on the center console, shifter, and steering wheel, and red accented seat belts to further emphasize the car's top billing as a RS.
The Bronze Styling package adds black exterior badging, a matte carbon front spoiler and rear diffuser, bronze stitching in the cabin, and bronze 20-inch wheels with summer performance tires to the coupe.
If a top speed of 155 mph isn't fast enough, the Dynamic Plus package adds a carbon-fiber engine cover, grey brake calipers, and ceramic front brakes, as well as a carbon-fiber engine cover.
The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine under the RS5's sinewy clamshell hood produces 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. A smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to Audi's rear-biased Quattro all-wheel-drive system. To experience the coupe's rousing acceleration, depress the gas pedal.
Switching to the Dynamic setting gives you a more satisfying fixed ratio, but we recommend avoiding it altogether. The true beauty of the RS5 is how well it rides over short and long distances. During spirited sessions, rivals such as the M4 and the C63 coupe demand more attention, but the Audi remains engaging and intoxicating.
Because the RS5 coupe has only one powertrain and standard all-wheel drive, the EPA only gives it one set of fuel-economy ratings. The high-powered coupe is expected to get 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, according to the government.
On our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, however, we haven't had the opportunity to test its real-world efficiency. The interior of the RS5 combines a variety of luxurious materials with cutting-edge technology. The front sport seats are supportive during cornering and comfortable on long drives.
They also have massage functions for the driver and front passenger's enjoyment. Ambient interior lighting, three-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof are standard in every cabin.
