DESCRIPTION

Aprilia SX 50 2022 has always used competitions as a testing ground for new ideas and solutions to spread across the entire range, from the most powerful model to entry level. The sophisticated chassis design, a point of excellence on every Aprilia vehicle, is visible in the new perimeter frame of the Aprilia SX 50, the result of years of experimentation in the production of high-quality frames.

The new tapered, compact saddle, which is now only 860 mm off the ground, easily accommodates the driver and passenger in a more comfortable position, providing ample freedom of movement both in sports riding and in everyday use. The new tank cap cover with a lock fits perfectly to the tank and significantly improves the passenger's mobility in longitudinal movements.

An intake reed valve distinguishes the single-cylinder, two-stroke, liquid-cooled engine. The use of cutting-edge technology enables this new engine to deliver exceptional performance for the category while remaining lightweight. Lubrification is accomplished through the use of a separate mixing system with a variable capacity volumetric pump.

The kick starter is in charge of starting. It is Euro 4 compliant and features electronically controlled carburetors and three catalysers for controlled emissions and consistent high levels of performance.  The lines are completely new and decisive, expressing a contemporary style true to Aprilia's sporting DNA: streamlined fairings, compact, and enriched with racing style graphics.

The headlight is integrated into the fairing and delimits the new digital instrument panel, which is complete, clear, modern, and easily accessible due to the new more ordered positioning of the clutch and brake cables. The braking system ensures quick and safe stopping and braking.

The front ventilated steel disc measures 260 mm and is braked by a floating calliper. The rear braking system consists of a 220 mm stainless steel disc coupled with a single piston calliper. Aprilia has outfitted the SX with sophisticated, compact, modern, and easy-to-read digital instruments; in addition to the standard functions, the digital dashboard includes a travel diary.

The wheels, which are another distinguishing feature of the small Aprilia motard, have 17" alloy rims and large tyres to ensure lightness and resistance to any stress.
