This bike belongs to the super biker category, and the first model of the Aprilia sx 50 factory generation will be available to the public in 2021, so, despite appearances, we are dealing with a motorcycle generation that is already one year old.
As a curiosity, it has an engine displacement of 124.8 cc (7.62 ci) and a total power of 15.0 hp (10.9 kw) @ 10000 rpm with a single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with electric. Aprilia SX, heir to a recent prestigious off-road history that culminated in the winning of 7 world titles in Supermotard, concentrates all the advantages of larger engines in its 50 cc engine
Aprilia has always used competitions as a testing ground for new ideas and solutions to spread across the entire range, from the most powerful model to entry level. Handguards ensure agility and handling on all road surfaces and serve to delimit the new digital instrument panel.
The powerful telescopic upside-down front fork 41 mm in diameter with 240 mm travel completes the front; at the rear, the aluminium swingarm is connected to the frame and hydraulic shock absorber via the "progressive link system." The travel of the rear wheel is 200 mm. An intake reed valve distinguishes the single-cylinder, two-stroke, liquid-cooled engine.
The use of cutting-edge technology enables this new engine to deliver exceptional performance for the category while remaining lightweight. A separate mixing system with a variable capacity volumetric pump is used for lubrication. The kick starter is in charge of starting.
It is Euro 4 compliant and features an electronically controlled carburettor and three catalyzers for controlled emissions and consistent high levels of performance. Components and performance worthy of Aprilia's many years of sports experience, attractive looks clearly inspired by the world of racing, and a chassis worthy of the company's name are the ingredients of a winning mix for young people who don't want to scrimp on their first ride on two wheels.
The double section black anodized aluminium handlebar is a technical and aesthetic highlight.
