DESCRIPTION

KTM Supersport RC 8C 2023  has one straightforward objective: to establish orange dominance on the starting grid.  This real READY TO RACE prototype, which is only available in 200 units, is built to break lap records.

The KTM RC 8C has one straightforward objective: to establish orange dominance on the starting grid. The KTM RC 8C is designed to be a specialised, no-compromise track weapon and is targeted at a particular breed of rider who lives with his or her elbow on the deck. This real READY TO RACE prototype, which is only available in 200 units, is built to break lap records.

KTM installed lighter titanium valves and conrods, a bigger throttle body, and an improved fuel pump to attain those numbers. A higher compression ratio maximises the performance of the parallel-twin engine while two piston rings optimise the rotational masses. 

The manufacturer also eliminated the top balance, adjusted the crankcase balancer shaft, increased the clutch preload, and installed a Pankl oil cooler to counterbalance those performance improvements with added durability.

While the CrMo4 steel frame of the RC 8C remains intact, the WP Apex Pro fork and shock now feature more flexible settings for improved feel and feedback. The track weapon's shape is also made more streamlined by a new titanium Akrapovic exhaust system. 

With an adjustable steering head, CNC-machined triple clamps (with offset), superbike-worthy Brembo Stylema callipers, and an RCS19 Corsa Corta master cylinder, KTM still gets the supersport scalpel ready for war on the racetrack. 

The RC 8C's traction control, power maps, and engine braking are all conveniently accessible to the user thanks to the GP-shift Quickshifter+, which is designed with racers and track riders in mind. The dashboard is GPS-equipped, and the handlebar switches are modelled after the KTM RC16.
