DESCRIPTION

The iPhone XS, like the iPhone XS Max, is made up of two layers of the strongest glass "Apple has ever utilized in a smartphone" sandwiched between two layers of "surgical grade" stainless steel. Except for the fact that it should be corrosion resistant, there is no precise definition of what makes "surgical grade stainless steel."

It does, however, sound rather posh. However, the glass front and back are relatively resistant to fingerprint smudges, which is better than other flagships in my experience. The iPhone XS has a height of 5.65 inches and a width of 2.79 inches.

It's powered by the A-12 Bionic chip, has an HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified display, and continues to shoot excellent images and videos.

The iPhone XS's IP68 designation, as well as Apple's assertions that the phones have been tested against everyday liquids like coffee, beer, and juice, are all part of the phone's build quality. Because of the 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch bezel-less display that fits within a 5.65-inch form factor.

The display has an unusual resolution of 1125x2436, resulting in a pixel density of 458 pixels per inch. What matters is that the iPhone XS's display is made up of an OLED panel, which is one of the greatest displays available on a smartphone.

It is Dolby Vision certified and supports HDR10. Whether you're viewing or creating material, it's a stunning show.

Even with True Tone turned on, the display is very accurate. Apple has knocked it out of the park when it comes to performance. The iPhone XS's new A-12 Bionic chip is a testament to big things coming in tiny packages.

Apple was able to get a lot of performance and decent power efficiency out of the chip thanks to the 7nm manufacture process. In practically every benchmark, the A-12 Bionic chip allowed the iPhone XS to outperform all other Android flagships of the year. SmartHDR is an Apple technology in which the phone shoots intra-frames in between the conventional tri-shot that makes up an HDR photo.

The autofocus is quite quick and just requires a small amount of prodding to lock onto the correct subject. When it comes to images, the daylight performance is outstanding. The colors are vibrant, and the photographs are free of the common HDR halation that occurs in photos taken in bright light.

A 2658mAh battery is included, which Apple claims will last 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X. The iPhone XS lasted 5 hours and 35 minutes in GeekBench's battery test.
