The Asus ZenBook S UX393 is incredibly thin, measuring only 15.7mm thick, with a desktop footprint of 306mm wide by 224mm deep. Overall, it's a good little laptop. Because the screen has a 3:2 aspect ratio, knowledge workers will be able to view a little more height on their documents, spreadsheets, and web pages than usual, without sacrificing the flexibility to have two working windows open side by side.
This laptop is also more durable than it appears. The black body of the ZenBook S UX393 has been highlighted with a'red copper' color, according to Asus. This is utilized to frame the power switch that sits top right of the keyboard, as well as the Asus branding on the lid and bands surrounding the lid and base. It appears to be both appealing and businesslike.
The 13.9-inch IPS LCD touch panel has a resolution of 3,300 by 2,200 pixels (285.3ppi) and can reach 500 nits of brightness. It's reflecting, which is a little annoying but not out of the ordinary. The bottom of the lid extends beyond the base section as it opens, slightly lifting the keyboard. It's an ingenious way of ensuring optimum keyboard ergonomics.
The display can be swivelled back to 135 degrees, which is ideal for typical laptop use. ASUS preserves a USB-A port with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface while also including two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, a full-size HDMI port, and even a Micro SD card reader.
